WWE Had Huge Plans For Dean Ambrose Prior To Injury, May Now Turn Seth Rollins Heel

Dean Ambrose's injury threw a wrench into creative plans for The Shield.

"The Lunatic Fringe" is expected to miss up to nine months of action after undergoing surgery on his triceps last December, but according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Ringside News), Ambrose was in line for a heel turn and major feud prior to being sidelined:

WWE had plans to turn Dean Ambrose heel. Apparently the original plan was to turn Ambrose heel and have him feud with Roman Reigns after The Shield got back together...The belief now is that [Seth] Rollins could take his place and turn heel instead and feud with Reigns after WrestleMania this year.
