Huge Update On CM Punk’ Next UFC Fight:

CM Punk’s future in the UFC is still up in the air following his MMA debut that went bad as he lost to Mickey Gall by first round submission back in September at UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Punk’s coach, Duke Roufus, recently spoke with Mmafighting.com about his future in the biggest MMA promotion in the world. Roufus stated that Punk is getting better and that obviously he didn’t perform the way they want him to at UFC 203. Roufus stated that it’s going to take some time to get Punk better as a well-rounded MMA fighter. However, he did state that the great thing about Punk is that he has an incredible attitude and is very thankful for the opportunities he has received. He noted that Punk is better now compared to his skill level before UFC 203.

When asked about Punk fighting in the UFC again, Roufus said that Punk and UFC President Dana White are talking again. He noted that he spoke with Punk recently and things are looking good regarding Punk’s second fight in the promotion. “I can’t say yes or no, but they’re looking hopeful. We’re going to see.” He added that White has got a good recipe of what he’s going to create and what is best for the sport.

Roufus stated that Punk is looking to fight again in maybe four or five months.
