Amount Of Money WWE Will Lose If Crown Jewel Is Cancelled
WWE Crown Jewel from Saudi Arabia is quite uncertain, After the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, WWE has faced calls to cancel the event, with prominent politicians from both the US Republican and Democratic party criticizing the company’s endeavors in Saudi Arabia.
Since then WWE has erased all the references of Saudi Arabia while promoting Crown Jewel. No one from the WWE did mention the location’s name during this Week’s RAW 7 Smackdown Live.
In a new report, Hayes cites Wall Street analyst Eric Handler of MKM Partners’ recent observations about the current state of WWE’s finances. Including a breakdown of how a major change to Crown Jewel could affect WWE’s bottom line.
According to Handler, if WWE were to cancel Crown Jewel it could result in a $2-3 million hit to their fourth-quarter cash flow. If they decide to go ahead and completely pull out of their deal with Saudi Arabia it could cost WWE $12-16 million in 2019 operating income. Since the WWE has been so quiet about the situation he believes they are still considering moving the event.
