Faf du Plessis, South African cricket team skipper had opened up about his retirement plans. He currently led his team to the victory in ODI series against Australia, Securing a 2-1 score in a three-match ODI series.

“The T20 World Cup in 2020 is something I’m really looking forward to. I think right now that will probably be the last tournament for me,” Faf du Plessis told the media ahead of on-off T20I against Australia at Australia in Brisbane.

Faf du Plessis is in the 34th year of his age. He has played 54 tests, 124 ODI’s and 41 T20I’s for South Africa. He has a good average of 35.34 with 1237 runs in the T20’s. With AB de Villiers returning from all forms of cricket, Faf du Plessis has played a key role in the South African cricket team.

He is expected to play a crucial role for the team in both 2019 ODI World Cup & 2020 T20I World Cup, later one will be hosted by Australia, while the former is in England & Wales.
