UFC heavyweight star Stipe Miocic sends challenge to Daniel Cormier
UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is expected to retire from mixed martial arts (MMA) after he turns 40 in March.
Daniel Cormier is scheduled to face Brock Lesnar in a few months but seems like this match will not happen. As Dana White said Lesnar sign multiple contract deal with WWE. So, the possibility of this match is nearly low.
Daniel Cormier has another choice as he will fight against Jon Jones in a potential Cormier-Jones trilogy remains to be seen. Cormier down 0-2 to his longtime rival. he also vacated the 205-pound strap before “Bones” returned at UFC 232 and captured the belt by smashing Alexander Gustafsson.
In another case, Daniel Cormier will fight Stipe Miocic for a championship rematch.
Stipe Miocic (18-3) hasn’t fought since he lost his heavyweight title to Cormier at UFC 226 in July.
Stipe’s six-fight win streak was put to a halt as Cormier knocking out the former champion stipe in the first round.
Prior to that setback, Miocic had successfully defended the heavyweight title three times defeating Alistair Overeem, Junior Dos Santos and Francis Ngannou.
The 36-year-old Stipe has been calling for a rematch ever since the loss and now it may be getting closer to reality.
“@dc_mma March 20 is coming up quick. Let’s settle this and get this fight on the books before you blow the candles out on that cake.”
