William Saliba Contract

Arsenal defender William Saliba has hinted at whether or not he would re-up with the club. The 21-year-old, whose contract with Arsenal expires in 2024, is off to a fantastic start this season, helping Mikel Arteta’s team climb to the top of the Premier League.

The Gunners have only given up seven goals all season thanks in part to the central defender’s seven appearances. Saliba’s dominant performances have once again caught the eye of France national team coach Didier Deschamps.

After a successful loan season at Marseille, where he excelled, he received five national team caps. Even though he still has two years left on his contract, his future at London Colney is becoming increasingly uncertain as his reputation as one of the world’s top young defenders increases.

In any case, Saliba may have left a signal about whether or not he renews his contract with the club after his most recent admission during the international break. The Frenchman told Sky Sports that London is “home” and that “he likes” Arsenal.

He answered, “Yes, for sure,” when asked if he felt at home. To paraphrase, “I feel right at home here. I enjoy my time in London and the club immensely. I’m at ease in this setting.

This is fantastic news for Arsenal, who are clearly reaping the benefits of their patience with the youngster. Saliba scored the game-winning goal as the Gunners cruised to a 3-0 victory against Brentford in their final match before the international break to maintain their Premier League lead.

After the game, Arteta heaped praise on him, and the Arsenal manager explained why his performance was even better than it appeared to the fans at the game. The Spanish man remarked, “He was excellent.

He hadn’t worked out in ten days due to an injury, yet he nevertheless showed up ready to compete. Not only does he score and defend, but he also does the dirty work that few fans appreciate. He should be commended for his efforts.”

moving to Marseille for the next 2021-22 season. In a 3–2 road win against Montpellier on August 8, 2021, he made his debut for the club alongside fellow Arsenal loanee Matteo Guendouzi.

Over the course of 52 games, he helped the club advance to the Europa Conference League semifinals and earn a spot in the next year’s Champions League. Saliba won the award for Young Player of the Year in Ligue 1 and was selected to the league’s All-Rookie Team. Despite offers from Marseille and other European clubs to spend another season on the sidelines, he decided to remain with Arsenal.
