Felix xQc Lengyel, a well-known Twitch streamer, is thinking about returning to the Overwatch World Cup in 2023, but he will only leave retirement under one precise circumstance. xQc was a professional Overwatch player who dominated the Overwatch circuit before becoming one of the most popular Twitch streams, which is why he has a large global following base. As long as xQc satisfies a particular need he set for himself, he is now eligible to play professionally in 2023.

xQc was well-known for his distinctive Winston Tank, which assisted in his ascent through the rankings and earned him a spot on Team Canada’s squad for the 2017 Overwatch World Cup.

Squad Canada was eventually defeated by an all-star team from South Korea, but his outstanding performance helped Canada reach the finals. He received the Most Valuable Player trophy for the whole Overwatch World Cup event despite the fact that they lost the championship match.

Following this occasion, xQc secured numerous contracts with numerous Overwatch League clubs, which led to the realization of his debut. Despite the fact that his Overwatch League debut didn’t go as many fans had hoped due to his several suspensions, people continued to follow him due to both his gameplay and content.

Fans have consistently encouraged xQc to run it back and participate in Overwatch World Cup. As soon as the Overwatch World Cup announcement was made this year, xQc received numerous messages from his supporters pleading with him to end his retirement.

In a recent stream, xQc spotted the message “It’s time to come out of retirement @xQc” on Reddit, to which he replied that he might play in the 2023 Overwatch World Cup, but with one stipulation.

As soon as it was announced that he would be returning to the prestigious event on December 17, 2022, fans began to argue for him to do so. According to xQc, he will only agree to return if he successfully competes for a roster position and not by any other means, particularly given his influence.

I’ll consider whether I want to do it or not, and if I do, I’ll make the time. He responded to the post, “If I get good enough, I’ll go to the tryouts, and if I’m good enough, I’ll get chosen. Otherwise, I’m not doing it. I won’t take the place of a superior candidate.

I’ve never done it before; it has never happened that I’ve replaced a superior person. Additionally, I won’t begin this year. I won’t do it if I don’t feel competent enough in the allotted time. According to xQc, he will gladly accept a seat on the team if he truly merits it by performing at his best level. If not, he will simply support Team Canada, his former team.
