100 Thieves

As the LCS pre-season heats up, 100 Thieves confirmed the departure of four of its League of Legends players earlier today.

“Enjoyed each stage of the journey. I’m grateful,” the message said.

The tweet made notice to the deceased players, including top laner Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho, mid-laner Felix “Abbedagge” Braun, bot lane Victor “FBI” Huang, and support Choi “huh” Jae-Hyun. Can “Closer” elik, their jungle, be the sole member of the organization who has remained since the initial announcement?

With the exception of Huhi, who is returning to Golden Guardians after leaving the organization in 2020 to join 100 Thieves, none of the players’ destinations have been made public as of the time of writing.

This 100 Thieves statement comes in the wake of persistent reports about the group, chief among which is that they have a deal with illustrious AD Carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng.

Unfortunately, there has been no announcement on the GOAT’s comeback or any other team members who will take the place of the four players who left.

Ssumday made his professional debut while playing for the KT Rolster team in South Korea. Later, he relocated to the LCS, where he participated in the 2017 season for Team Dignitas. Since joining 100 Thieves in 2018, Ssumday has regularly been one of the top laners in the North American area. Although it shouldn’t be hard for him to go back to the LCK, where he belongs, there are speculations that he will be joining Evil Geniuses.

Abbedagge has changed teams frequently in the LEC, but his first (and only) LCS home was 100 Thieves. His fame increased as he participated in the 2020 Schalke miracle run. After a year with Golden Guardians, the FBI joined 100 Thieves, and he has been with the former organization for two years.

He created his moniker from scratch, elevating it from the status of a random import’s tag to that of a prominent AD carrier in the area. He is rumored to join Ssumday and Evil Geniuses for the next LCS 2023 Season, though this has not been confirmed.
