Dane Jackson Injury

During Monday night’s 41-7 triumph against the Tennessee Titans, Bills starting cornerback Dane Jackson was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation of a horrific collision that left him with a possible neck injury.

Team members have reported that Jackson can move all of his limbs normally, and he has undergone both a CT scan and an X-ray at Erie County Medical Center.

After the game, coach Sean McDermott said, “We are still waiting for information and obviously praying for Dane and all of [the Bills’ injured players].” “When I’m outside watching him be loaded into the ambulance, I transition from being a coach to simply another human being. There’s no exaggeration there; that really happened.”

Tremaine Edmunds, a linebacker for the Bills, collided with Treylon Burks, a wide receiver for the Titans, while attempting to make a tackle on second down. The impact of Edmunds’s helmet caused Jackson’s head to snap back.

“This is a challenging piece, no doubt. I noticed the receiver was still in the air and trying to complete the play “This, Edmunds remarked. “It was a totally unintentional occurrence. Since the receiver was still standing, I was merely trying to bring him to the ground when I accidentally made contact with Dane.”

Team trainers went to Jackson, who was moving his legs, delaying play for over 10 minutes. Next, he was strapped to a stretcher and brought away in an ambulance through the stadium’s tunnel. Jackson’s teammates clustered around him while he was being treated, and Edmunds stuck close by the whole time.

“Just to see him moving, just to see him give a thumbs-up on the way out — obviously, that helped a lot of us… it eased a lot of our concerns,” Edmunds added. McDermott said he spoke with Jackson briefly in the Bills’ tunnel before the ambulance left the stadium.

Third-year player Jackson, who started the season opener in place of an injured Tre’Davious White, made three tackles on Monday and an interception in the Bills’ win against the Los Angeles Rams the week before.

Christian Benford and Kaiir Elam, both first-year players, stepped up to replace Jackson after he got hurt. To begin the season, they had taken turns starting opposite Jackson. Confidence in the Dollar Bills Jackson’s close friend Damar Hamlin noted that even though the situation on the field was stressful, Jackson gave him positive feedback.

“It was a horrible sensation. A brother had fallen, or so it seemed “Hamlin stated.” “Even more so because of the extraordinary nature of the manner in which it occurred. The reason being, that it didn’t look like a typical injury. I’m praying for him, and I know he’ll be well because we have the kind of bond where he’ll let me know if something’s up, and he told me he was good on the field after we talked.”

When Tennessee’s Ryan Tannehill completed a first down pass to receiver Robert Woods late in the third quarter, starting Bills safety Micah Hyde was knocked out of the game with a neck injury. After being checked out for a few minutes out on the field, Hyde made his way into the blue medical tent using his own strength.

Eventually, Hyde has carted off the field. His replacement, backup Jaquan Johnson, played the rest of the game. Safety Jordan Poyer remarked, “It was sort of an odd game, wasn’t it?” “Micah replied to my text that he is OK. Dane also claimed to be fine. I’m just saying a prayer for them.”

Bills center Mitch Morse left the game for a while with a right elbow injury but eventually returned. Numerous replacement players entered the game at the same time as linebacker Matt Milano (stinger) and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (hamstring) left with injuries. Because of an ankle injury, wide receiver Gabe Davis was sidelined on Monday. McDermott was unable to provide any new information regarding the Bills’ injuries.
