The Las Vegas Raiders’ season is on the verge of failing. Hunter Renfrow, a wide receiver for the Raiders, was disclosed to be placed on injured reserve on Thursday afternoon. A hamstring issue caused former Pro Bowl tight end, Darren Waller, to be placed on injured reserve earlier on Thursday.
Renfrow will now be sidelined for at least the following four weeks, said ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Raiders’ situation is deteriorating rapidly. Last week, they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20 after blowing yet another 17-point lead. They did that for the third time this year. They previously lost big leads to the Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals.
It is not going well for Josh McDaniels in his first season as the Raiders head coach. Renfrow was a major factor in Las Vegas’s ability to advance to the playoffs the previous season. He had just completed a season in which 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns were a career-high.

This year, the Raider’s offense was anticipated to be even more dynamic. Davante Adams, one of the top receivers in the world, was a recent addition. But Derek Carr is slipping backward. Adams has expressed dissatisfaction with the offensive game plans. In the first half of last week’s game, he grabbed nine catches for nearly 150 yards and two scores.
Inexplicably, when he caught one pass in the second half, McDaniels and Carr turned away from him. Things could get worse this week against a very solid Indianapolis Colts defense with both Waller and Hunter Renfrow on injured reserve.
