Diogo Jota Injury

Liverpool is awaiting news on Diogo Jota’s latest injury, which has them concerned that the forward may be out for an extended period of time.

In the last minutes of Sunday’s 1-0 Premier League victory over Manchester City at Anfield, Jota dropped to the floor, gripping his right leg, and was taken away on a stretcher.

The Portugal international missed the first half of the season due to a hamstring injury that flared up again in July. Liverpool is awaiting news on Diogo Jota’s latest injury, which has them concerned that the forward may be out for an extended period of time.

As extra time progressed in Sunday’s 1-0 Premier League victory against Manchester City at Anfield, Jota dropped to the ground, gripping his right leg, and was taken away on a stretcher.

An old hamstring issue sidelined the Portugal international for the first half of the season. When asked about it, Klopp remarked, “Diogo, I wish I didn’t have to talk about it.” I was watching from the sidelines and saw that he had gone down without a lot of collisions.

You can tell that the muscle was overstretched a little bit because someone kicked his foot. We have to wait to see how terrible it is, but after 96 minutes, that’s not good for a muscle, and he felt it right away.
