Daniels hurt his lower back, according to Coach Kelly.

Kelly remarked that “there was no reason at that time of the game” for him to reenter the game. “The physicians gave him the all-clear. He performs admirably.”

LSU’s lead increased to 24-0 in the third quarter after Garrett Nussmeier, who had replaced Daniels at quarterback, led the Tigers on a touchdown drive.

Holding his helmet, Daniels walked back to the LSU sideline to witness the rest of the game.
