Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson

Mitchell Robinson, a big man for the New York Knicks, recently organized a block party in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday evening. Though Charlotte Hornets fans would presumably want to avoid being reminded of it, Robinson himself made sure to make sure that everyone knew of what he did in a tweet for those who missed it.

THE MF BLOCK PARTY IS ON! You heard me: HOSTED BY MITCHELL ROBINSON. Robinson wrote alongside emojis for a stop sign, a ball, and a hand.

Certainly, Mitchell Robinson is entitled to boast about it. He had six blocks for the Knicks, and even better, he came through when it mattered most as they prevailed 134-131 in overtime.

In overtime, the Knicks were ahead 132-129 when he recorded his most significant block. With less than 10 seconds remaining, Jalen McDaniels tried to make a layup to trim the deficit to just one, but Robinson sprang high to block him and throw the ball out of bounds.

Robinson’s average of 3.3 blocks per game has increased thanks to his most recent block party. He has served as the Knicks’ defensive backbone thus far, blocking at least two shots in each of the games before Wednesday’s performance.

Maintaining those productions throughout the season is Robinson’s current problem. It will undoubtedly be challenging, but Knicks supporters are well aware that their big man currently exudes confidence. That’s enough evidence, as that block party reminder shows.
