Trey Lance Injury Update

QB for the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, Trey Lance was born on May 9, 2000. (NFL). During his freshman year of college football, he led North Dakota State to the 2020 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game and won the Walter Payton Award and the Jerry Rice Award.

In spite of being the third overall pick by the 49ers in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lance wound up spending most of his first season on the bench. In 2022, Lance was the starting quarterback, but an early season injury ended his season.

Trey Lance, the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, left Sunday’s game with an apparent broken right ankle and did not return. As the first quarter came to a close, the 49ers were driving deep into Seattle territory when the injury occurred. After an awkward tackle from Bryan Mone and Cody Barton, Lance kept the ball and appeared to break his ankle.

Trey Lance Injury

After getting up from the ground at Levi’s Stadium, Lance limped for a moment before sitting back down. After the play, he had to be carted off the field. Reports from Adam Schefter after the game indicated that Lance would need surgery, effectively ending his 2022 campaign.

Trey After suffering an ankle injury that necessitates surgery, Lance will be out for the remainder of the year. You’re crossing your fingers that Lance will be okay and able to play next year without this setback affecting his growth. It’s hard not to worry about the franchise’s future.

Brutal. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Trey In his fourth start, Lance was knocked out before the second quarter began. It appeared that the strategy would involve making extensive use of Lance’s legs. The Niners opened the game with 12 carries, and Trey was responsible for three of them.

Lance appeared to injure his ankle on his final touch and had to be taken out of the game. It appeared that Lance’s ankle was caught in a tackle. The cart appeared for Lance right away. The doctor then air cast his right leg.

After the game, when Lance has an MRI, we’ll know more about his injury, but the look on his face on the cart suggested he knew something was wrong. What a letdown. It looked like this kid was going to have a huge game and a huge season. This morning, that was halved. Despite the 49ers’ lead, the game has seemed dull ever since Lance was injured.
