After signing Carlos Correa, the San Francisco Giants can say with certainty that they have caught a big fish in free agency. Although many fans are thrilled by the inclusion, some couldn’t help but voice their misgivings about the decision.
It’s hardly surprising that the Giants were so eager to get Correa because he is without a doubt one of the best shortstops in all of baseball. He signed a 13-year, $350 million contract with the San Francisco team, keeping him with the organization until he turns 41.
As was already said, a number of supporters praised the decision, particularly since his presence offers the Giants a chance to seriously contend for the World Series crown. Not very long ago, Correa was a candidate for the MVP award and placed sixth in the 2021 voting. He hit 22 home runs and had a slash line of.291/.366/.467 for the Minnesota Twins during the just-completed 2022 season.
“Carlos Correa is beloved by us. What time do the Jersey Sales start? Welcome to the Bay!” exclaimed one enthusiastic fan. “They were.500 last year and won 107 the year before,” a different Giants supporter remarked. They have advanced.

“Great player, still figuring out how I feel. 13 years seems like a long time for Correa. Farhan had to donate the money to someone after Judge, in my opinion. Whatever. NOT MY BACKPACK. I just want him to succeed here. Welcome to the team, Correa,” a Twitter user wrote.
Unreservedly, another critic stated, “Carlos Correa was overpaid. And that’s it.
