As a result of rumors that he whooped his daughter, Amar’s Stoudemire recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons. However, the former NBA player disputed the claims and stated that the information will be made public as soon as the investigation was over.
For those who don’t know, Stoudemire is accused of hitting his daughter for “being rude and a liar” and was then taken into custody and charged with violence. Because his kid “gave attitude” to her grandmother, the former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks star allegedly “punched his daughter in the jaw and smacked her many times.”
The altercation allegedly took place after Stoudemire received his Master’s degree from the University of Miami earlier in the day, which made matters worse.
Stoudemire issued a statement to refute the claims after the report went viral on social media. He made it clear that he never imagined himself “assaulting” anyone, especially his kids.

“Over the past 24 hours, I have been accused of abusing my daughter following an incident at my family’s house. It’s an accusation based on information from a report that doesn’t match reality. Since I practice Judaism, I know that Jewish people around the world celebrate Hanukkah today and learn about how we overcame evil, said Stoudemire.
“I firmly think that you should never treat other people with hatred. The facts will reveal that the accusations are unfounded as the investigation progresses since my daughter’s medical condition is not the result of being abused by a father who is nearly 7 feet tall and 250 pounds. I could never imagine hurting anyone, especially my kids. I cherish, cherish, and love my family, especially my kids. I pray for your mercy as a father while we protect our own space.
It’s anticipated that further information concerning the incident will surface soon. And if Amar’s Stoudemire’s claims are accurate, either there may be another suspect in the incident or what happened wasn’t precisely how the police described it.
