Tuesday night, the Denver Nuggets had every reason to be pleased. They now hold the top spot in the Western Conference in addition to defeating Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies 105-91 at home. Christian Braun, a rookie for the Nuggets, will feel a lot better after Morant scored a lot of points against him thanks to those.
Following the Nuggets’ victory, Braun reportedly claimed, “I thought I was doing a decent job on Ja, then I glanced up in the third quarter and he had 30.” This is according to Mike Singer of the Denver Post.

Morant finished the game with 35 points and 10 assists in 38 minutes, but he often had to work for his buckets. He only made 12-of-26 shots from the field and committed a total of seven turnovers. The Nuggets’ victory was aided by his ineffective shooting performance, which would not have been possible without the tough defense Braun and the team applied to the Grizzlies’ premier player.
In addition to guarding Morant, Braun had a productive offensive game, scoring 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with an assist, three rebounds, a steal, and a block in 29 minutes as a starter for the Nuggets.

When the Grizzlies go to the Phoenix Suns on Friday, Morant and the team will try to stop a three-game losing streak.
