Despite the signing of Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks seemed doomed for another forgettable year at the beginning of December. However, in only two weeks, everything might drastically shift. The Knicks have now won eight straight games after crushing the Golden State Warriors, 133-93, on Tuesday night, and are moving up the Eastern Conference standings with an 18-13 record.
However, Jalen Brunson is aware that there is still a long way to go and that the Knicks still have a lot of work to do despite having their greatest stretch of the season.
Immediately after the game, Brunson warned the Knicks against getting comfortable in his conversation with Jared Greenberg.
This is fantastic. We’re going to keep winning, and we’re going to keep improving. We still have a lot more to accomplish and prove. For us, this is just the beginning. We must continue, said Brunson. “Everything needs to be worked on. We must never become complacent. Just keep working hard and being focused. Game 31 is still to come. Simply said, we need to focus on the goal.
Particularly in light of the Knicks’ disappointing performance last season, Jalen Brunson has played a significant role in their resurgence. He is currently the point guard the Knicks wanted when they signed him to a four-year, $104 million contract. He averages 20.8 points and 6.2 assists per game. The 26-year-old floor general attributes his smooth adjustment to the Big Apple to the confidence his team has in him.

As I go, I’m learning. My teammates believe in me. I’m trusted by the coaching staff. I believe in them,” added Brunson.
In addition to Julius Randle’s steadiness, Brunson has also produced four straight double-doubles. Randle has been performing at a level reminiscent of his All-Star season from two years ago during the winning streak.

There’s no reason to believe that the Knicks would eventually see a dramatic decline with the excellent quality of play being displayed by Brunson and Randle, as well as the recent contributions of Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes in supporting roles.
