Against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers achieved their finest and possibly most significant victory of the year. The Purple and Gold faithful are understandably excited about what might be the newest indication that the team has made progress.
The Bucks staying in striking distance for the majority of the night made it far from an easy task for the Lakers. Even though they have led the Milwaukee team and Giannis Antetokounmpo by as many as 14 points in the game, LeBron and co. just can’t seem to break away.

There is definitely cause for celebration for the Lakers and their supporters. Beating a contender for the championship should do more for the team’s confidence than just improving their record. As they try to move up in the West standings, it might be the spark they need to really get things moving.
