The Los Angeles Lakers’ situation just keeps getting worse. They were shorthanded against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday because LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Patrick Beverley were all out due to injuries. It should come as no surprise that the Lakers lost. The team’s injury list is already becoming longer, and it now appears that Juan Toscano-Anderson will be joining it.

after treading on teammate Thomas Bryant’s foot, went down in the second half. JTA fell to the ground right away, and to get back to the bench, he needed assistance from his teammates. Toscano-Anderson, 29, could hardly bear any weight on his right foot, and it was later discovered that he had sprained his ankle.
For the Lakers, who are already struggling with a number of ailments, this is yet another devastating blow. JTA will undergo testing on his ankle to ascertain the severity of the damage. However, it didn’t appear good, so it wouldn’t come as a complete shock if he ended up missing some time due to this injury.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis don’t seem to have suffered any significant injuries, which is good news for LA. They ought to return to the mix soon. Hopefully, both stars will be able to play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.
The bad news is that the Lakers have now dropped back-to-back contests and risk getting themselves into another big hole, especially if their injury issues keep getting worse.
