Due to Warriors star Stephen Curry’s absence due to a shoulder injury on Christmas Day, the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies Western Conference Semifinal rematch had somewhat lost its appeal.
Curry is on track to return shortly, but as soon as the game started, the rest of the Warriors made sure to give their home fans something to cheer about as they came out strong against their Western Conference rival.
Despite having a big game and managing to get himself ejected, the Warriors continued to dominate the Grizzlies without much seeming to be affected. Early in the fourth quarter, one of the game’s best plays occurred when Draymond Green sent a pass across the length of the court to Jonathan Kuminga, who tipped the ball to a charging Moses Moody who finished the play with a thundering slam.

Even though Stephen Curry was in street clothes sitting on the bench, he was quite involved during the game, and he was moved to tears by Moody’s slam dunk.
For Moody, Who Hasn’t Always Played Regularly for The Warriors This Season, It Was a Significant Play. Moody, the 14th Overall Choice in The 2021 Draught, Has Had Inconsistent Playing Time but Appears to Be Securing a Spot as A Bench Player.
He had more playing time during the Warriors’ most recent game against the New York Knicks, which he took advantage of to score a season-high 17 points. Moody had been averaging 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in little under 16 minutes of action before the Grizzlies game.
