The Golden State Warriors were thoroughly outplayed by the Nets on Wednesday night in Brooklyn. The spectators made sure to further humiliate Jordan Poole and Draymond Green.
After being fouled by Nic Claxton, Jordan Poole went to the free-throw line with the score already at a ludicrous 95-54. With the outcome all but assured, Nets supporters made sure to serenade Poole with a chant that he probably didn’t like.
Fans shouted, “Draymond punched you,” during the game.

Jordan Poole and Draymond Green may no longer be haunted by the Warriors’ offseason low, but the public won’t soon forget about it, especially when they’re losing games by 40 points.
Against the Nets, Poole and Green were largely ineffectual. Poole finished the game with 13 points on a dismal 4 of 17 shooting performance, while Draymond only managed two points on the same number of shots.
James Wiseman‘s breakout performance was the Warriors’ lone shining moment. The former second-overall pick scored a career-high 30 points on 12 of 14 shots, adding six rebounds and a three-pointer to his stat line. Even though it was garbage time, Wiseman’s confidence was definitely pushed back in the right direction.

The Warriors have only won two of their last nine games, and things aren’t going to get any better on Christmas Day when they play the Memphis Grizzlies. Given that Stephen Curry is still confined to the sidelines, the contest is undoubtedly diminished.
But it’s unlikely it will deter hostility from both sides from showing up throughout the competition. There won’t be any “Draymond punched you” chants anytime soon because the game will be played in Chase Center.
