In the New Orleans Pelicans’ victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Zion Williamson continued his outstanding season. He totally dominated the Wolves, scoring a career-high 43 points. The Pelicans needed every single one of those points to
escape with a 119-118 victory after Anthony Edwards missed the possible game-winning shot for the Wolves. The Pelicans’ humorous game plan was revealed by teammate CJ McCollum after he scored the final 14 points for the Pelicans. Williamson’s shot chart is what truly sticks out about his performance, though.

Only two of Williamson’s 21 attempts at scoring came from outside the allowed area, and of those two, only one was from outside the paint. Williamson only attempted one shot outside the paint, a three-pointer, and he made it, going 100 percent for the game from outside the arc.
All of his damage, though, was done within two to three feet of the hoop. With only six missed shots, he had a field goal percentage of 66.7. Additionally, he made it to the free-throw line 19 times and made 14 of those shots.
