Star player Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks had to leave Tuesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers due to a lower-body injury. At first glance, Young’s attack on the hoop with just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter appeared to have injured his ankle. The team later verified, nevertheless, that it is a left calf injury.
Young was quickly hauled off the court when the Hawks called a timeout after noticing his discomfort. He was then disqualified from the remainder of the competition.

Although the extent of the injury is not yet known, Trae Young and the Hawks should be concerned about it. It’s also a rather depressing way for Ice Trae, who became the third-youngest player in history to reach 800 triples, to close the night.
Despite the fact that Young’s departure had minimal impact, Atlanta ultimately lost to the Pacers 129-114. When Young departed the court, the club was down by 20 points and the Pacers were outworking them on both sides of the court.

However, it is hoped that Young’s injury won’t keep him out of more games in the future, especially as the Hawks battle for a playoff spot.

A slew of in-game injuries has made Tuesday’s NBA schedule stressful for spectators in other games. A finger injury forced RJ Barrett to miss the New York Knicks game against the Dallas Mavericks in addition to Trae Young. Then, due to back stiffness, Fred VanVleet was ultimately ruled out of the Toronto Raptors game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
