Andre Iguodala is still a part of the Golden State Warriors, in case you forgot. Some fans may find it simple to forget that the former Finals MVP actually signed a one-year agreement with the Dubs this past summer because he hasn’t played a single minute this season.
Unfortunately, it sounds like Iguodala won’t be coming back anytime soon. Iggy’s injury status has recently been updated by Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, and it doesn’t really look good for his hopes of playing for the Dubs anytime soon.
Iguodala, 38, is still recovering from a hip injury. Iguodala recently participated in a G League game with the Santa Cruz Warriors, according to Kerr. The four-time NBA champion coach, though, was unable to give a time frame for Iguodala’s conceivable return. Simply put, we shouldn’t anticipate seeing him back in the lineup anytime soon.

The Warriors have good news in the form of Stephen Curry‘s impending return. As he continues to recover from a shoulder injury, the former back-to-back MVP is allegedly aiming for January 13th as his return date. In light of Golden State’s efforts to advance in the Western Conference rankings, this is unquestionably a big development.
Iguodala does not play as significant a part for the Dubs as Curry does. The Warriors still value the latter’s seasoned presence, which is the main justification for Andre Iguodala’s continued employment.
