During Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, Draymond Green warned a courtside fan to “shut up,” which got him into some controversy once more. The Golden State Warriors lost that game, 116-113, and Green, who was fined for his fan brawl, was left with a loss of $25,000.
Here is the first conversation Green had with a courtside Mavs supporter:
“Enjoy the f***** game, shut up.”

The individual who Green yelled at has now spoken up. He goes by the name of Alykhan Rehmatullah and is a tech executive with a lot of money. So much so that he made the decision to donate to a good cause in Green’s honor in addition to matching his $25,000 fine:
@Money23Green I m the guy you yelled at. Shouldn t be like that, we were just having fun.
I ll match the $25k to your favorite charity, or @nbacares, your call lmk! https://t.co/EdAUH3h51z“>https://t.co/EdAUH3h51z

The specific words Rehmatullah spoke to Green that caused the four-time NBA champion to respond as he did are unknown. However, as you can see in the video, the fan immediately after hearing Draymond clap back at him had a big smile on his face. As he previously stated, he was only having fun with the Warriors player and had no idea that this would cause such a stir.

However, laws are laws. NBA players are prohibited from conversing with fans in an offensive manner, which is why the league hit Draymond Green with yet another big punishment. Rehmatullah deserves praise for speaking with Green and accepting responsibility for his part in the altercation. Additionally, the individual deserves praise for “reimbursing” Green for his troubles.
