Grayson McCall, a seasoned quarterback for Coastal Carolina, entered the transfer portal on Monday. He currently seems prepared to visit Auburn University, McCall hasn’t chosen a date for his visit yet, according to Brandon Marcello of 247 Sports, but Auburn thinks it’s likely to happen.
Former Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall has not yet specified a time, but the Tigers are certain that they will host the All-Sun Belt player this week, according to Marcello.
During his four seasons at Coastal Carolina, Grayson McCall was one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the country. Following a freshman season in which he participated in just two games, McCall was given the starting spot in 2020. He appeared to be a star during the next three seasons.
McCall started a total of 32 games for Coastal Carolina over the previous three seasons. He was excellent in the offense during this span, tossing for 7,994 yards, 77 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions.

McCall’s use of his legs has also been powerful. Over the last three seasons, he has run for 1,042 yards and 16 touchdowns. NFL quarterback potential exists for Grayson McCall. He hopes to demonstrate by entering the portal that he can outperform even more talented opponents. He is now the third-ranked player in the transfer portal and 247 Sports’ highest-rated quarterback.
My favorite QB in the Transfer Portal, and the No. 1 ranked QB in the portal, is Grayson McCall.
Throws a great deep ball (top-rated QB on throws of 20+ yards per PFF), works some magic running the ball, and has a super-quick release.
Oh, and visiting Auburn. https://t.co/sIaI2vDtxe pic.twitter.com/lb475aKZB3

If McCall becomes Auburn’s next starting quarterback, it might be the opportunity he needs to establish himself as one of the finest in the country. It might also guarantee that he is selected among the first quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
