There is no need for concern regarding Joe Burrow’s pinky. After the Cincinnati Bengals’ amazing 34-23 come-from-behind victory over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road on Sunday (h/t Ben Baby of ESPN), the quarterback said that his right pinky finger was fine.

In the first half, the Bengals were down by as much as 17 points to Tampa Bay, but they turned things around in the final two quarters to complete the comeback. Burrow completed 24 of his 39 ball attempts for 200 yards and four touchdowns with just one interception.
The Bengals reacted to being down 17-0 with a juggernaut-sized 34 unanswered points. Burrow’s accuracy allowed Tyler Boyd, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins to all score touchdowns in the end zone, so there’s not much to worry about with regard to the quarterback’s hand.
However, the Bengals’ stop unit also deserves praise for containing the Buccaneers’ offensive momentum in the second half. The Buccaneers were unable to score after giving up a touchdown to Chris Godwin in the second quarter until Brady connected with Russell Gage for a five-yard touchdown extremely late in the game, which was already essentially determined by the time Tampa Bay broke their scoring drought.

The Bengals now hold sole possession of the top slot in the AFC North division with a 10-4 record thanks to the victory. They were also fortunate that the Baltimore Ravens’ Saturday loss to the Cleveland Browns prevented Cincinnati from sharing a 10-4 record with the Ravens.
In Week 16, the Bengals will travel to face the New England Patriots. After the Bengals’ impressive victory against the Buccaneers, quarterback Joe Burrow talks about his pinky injury.
