Wide receiver Mike Williams of the Los Angeles Chargers has been rolled into the locker room due to a back issue. He might not come back, at all. Williams was hurt during the Chargers’ Week 18 game against the Denver Broncos in the second quarter. With 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Chargers are down by a score of 31-20. Before leaving, Williams had four catches for 32 yards.
This season, Mike Williams has been one of Los Angeles’ most effective attacking players. He had 59 receptions for 863 yards and four touchdowns going into Week 18. He is second in touchdowns, third in receptions, and first in receiving yards for the Chargers.
The passing offense of the Chargers as a whole is currently ranked third in the NFL. They averaged 268.2 yards in the air per game heading into Week 18. Williams’ performance has contributed significantly to Los Angeles’ offensive success. Williams was signed to a three-year, $60 million agreement by Los Angeles ahead of the season, showing that they were aware of his talent.

Williams was hurt during a Chargers game that had no real significance. Los Angeles has already been confirmed as the fifth seed for the playoffs as a result of the Baltimore Ravens loss to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier in the day. The Chargers would be the fifth seed whether they won and finished the regular season 11-6 or lost and finished 11-7.
In the Chargers’ game against the Broncos, the brilliant wide receiver has not yet returned. Williams was hoisted off the field, and his ability to return for the postseason is now seriously in doubt. Los Angeles will be hoping that Williams’ injury is not serious and that he is able to participate in their final stretch.
