JuJu Smith-Schuster, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, just helped make the holiday season even more special for a number of families. According to KMBC 9 News, Smith-Schuster and his organization collaborated with a Kansas City retailer and invested roughly $10,000 to buy specially curated gifts for families to make their Christmases considerably happier.
At a Burlington store near Kansas City, Smith-Schuster and his charity paid off almost $10,000 in layaways. It’s all about being a part of the community, and that’s why I love it so much, he said. These are devoted followers. Every Sunday and in every game we play, they support us.
After electing to sign with the Chiefs, Smith-career Schuster’s was revitalized, and the charitable work he has done for the families is merely his way of giving back. The former USC Trojans wide receiver added, “It’s simply good that I get the opportunity to be a role model to these youngsters and to give back to the community.
Smith-Schuster has recovered well in Kansas City after a dismal 2021 campaign, which was also his final year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. There, he has established himself as one of quarterback Patrick Mahomes‘ most effective downfield threats.

Smith-Schuster has played in nine games for the Chiefs thus far in the 2022 NFL season, accruing 762 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 61 grabs and 82 targets. Only tight end Travis Kelce has received more targets than him from the Chiefs. In March, the Chiefs and JuJu Smith-Schuster, 26, agreed to a $3.76 million, one-year contract.
