Since Peyton Manning and Eli Manning are a natural broadcasting team, TheManningcastis a gift that keeps on giving for football fans. During their coverage of the NFC Wild Card Round game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, the two once again had football fans in stitches. Peyton made a funny football admission while watching the game with his brother.
In my 18-year career, I don’t recall ever adjusting for halftime. The alterations made at halftime, in my opinion, are the biggest football myth. After entering, using the restroom, and eating a few oranges, the head coach orders, “Alright, let’s go!

That statement was delivered by Peyton Manning shortly after the Cowboys-Buccaneers game’s third quarter began, with Tampa Bay behind Dak Prescott and company by 18 points. Any adjustments the Buccaneers made in the second half of the game hardly made a difference since the Cowboys continued tormenting Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in the final two quarters.
Peyton Manning is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and a former NFL quarterback. He is well-versed in NFL halftime customs, so it comes as a surprise to hear someone of his prominence claim that locker room changes after the first two quarters aren’t as significant as some people claim.
However, the NFL only allows for a 13-minute halftime. Since both players and coaches are also people, they must take care of their basic needs, such as using the restroom when it is possible to do so in the locker room.
