The Denver Broncos season has been a complete nightmare, and they are now 3-7 after Sunday’s sad 22-16 overtime loss to Davante Adams and the Las Vegas Raiders at home. Adams’ score in overtime gave the Raiders the victory and destroyed the Broncos with a piece of cake.
Adams was primarily Patrick Surtain II’s assignment for the Broncos during the game, but neither he nor Denver’s secondary had what it took to stop the Raiders’ top downfield threat. A discouraged Surtain claimed responsibility for that Adams touchdown after the game (victory Renck).
“Broncos @PatSurtainll remained at his locker following the game and responded to queries. took ownership of Adams’ TD on the double move. Your short-term memory must be strong. This loss is not the fault of one individual, according to @jsimms1119. had had opportunities to win the game.
On just seven catches and 13 targets, Adams destroyed the Broncos’ stop unit for 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Despite how the game ended, the Broncos’ defense shouldn’t be held primarily responsible because it wouldn’t have come down to that if their offense had scored more than enough points.
Under center, Russell Wilson faltered once more, completing only 24 of 41 passes for 247 yards and no touchdowns while being sacked three times for a loss of 21 yards. Perhaps against Baker Mayfield and the doomed Carolina Panthers in Week 12, the Broncos will do better on both ends of the field.
