In the Week 16 game against the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler made his fantasy football managers ecstatic. Ekeler has always been a fantasy football stud, and his performance on Monday Night Football with two touchdowns once again demonstrated why. The Chargers dominated 20-3 thanks to his 18 rushes for 67 yards and two scores.
He has multiple touchdowns for the fifth time this season, and with 16 total touchdowns, he currently leads the league. With 20 touchdowns, he also led the NFL last season, and if things continue like they are for the remainder of the campaign, he will hold that title for consecutive seasons. In 2017 and 2018, Todd Gurley was the most recent person to accomplish that accomplishment.
Returning to fantasy football, Ekeler finished with 79 yards overall, 12 receiving yards on four catches, and two touchdowns. According to ESPN, it produced 23.9 fantasy points.

It will be intriguing to see if Ekeler can top his 20 touchdowns from the previous season. The Chargers still have two games remaining to play, one against the Denver Broncos in week 18 and the other against the Los Angeles Rams in week 17.
Although they did meet in the preseason, the Chargers have yet to play the Rams in 2022. Regarding the Broncos, LA defeated them 19-16 in Week 6 with one running touchdown from Ekeler. Ekeler might have a chance to increase his total given that neither the Rams nor the Broncos have anything to play for.
