Wonderful Stefon Diggs is. You will hear that from every supporter of the Buffalo Bills and wide receiver in your fantasy team. He added yet another highlight to his already lengthy list of highlights this season on Thursday when he scored a touchdown away from home against the New England Patriots.
According to ESPN Stats & Info (h/t Alaina Getzenberg), with his touchdown in the second quarter of the game in Foxborough, Diggs has now joined a very select group of NFL players who have scored a touchdown in each of their last three visits — as a member of the visiting team — to Patriots territory. It was last accomplished by Marvin Harrison in the mid-2000s.
Since Marvin Harrison did so from 2004 to 2006, Stefon Diggs is the only player to score a touchdown in three straightaway contests versus the Patriots.
Diggs has been a deadly downfield weapon for the Bills’ offense. The 29-year-old wide receiver boasts impressive stats of 1,110 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 84 receptions before facing the Patriots, all of which have cracked the top three in the NFL after 12 weeks of football. Diggs needs to produce more since the Bills still have five games left after their matchup with the Patriots.
Diggs has now scored in the end zone three times in a row, which is also noteworthy. He has caught touchdown passes against the Cleveland Browns in Week 11 and the Detroit Lions the following week. He has accomplished this feat twice, and in Week 14’s home game against the New York Jets, he can extend his winning streak to four games.
