On Sunday, the New York Giants triumphed in their first playoff game since 2011. And Giants quarterback Daniel Jones’ outstanding effort helped the team advance to victory.

Jones performed all of it on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. He completed 24 of his 35 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns. He also dominated on the ground, leading the squad in rushing with 78 yards.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll ordered Jones to lower his head for two quarterback sneaks in the fourth quarter. Both were successful, and one even resulted in the winning touchdown.

Daboll addressed his attitude during the game at a press conference following the victory. He claimed he only had one goal in mind: to win the match. And he had zero doubts about his quarterback.

According to Daboll on Sunday, via WFAN, “We were going to go attempt to win the game; we had trust in Daniel moving the pile, and I can deal with the consequences.” He made a spectacular play while keeping his legs moving.

In fact, not too long ago, the Giants and Vikings played each other in a regular-season game. Although Minnesota won that game, the Giants showed that they could compete with the 13-win NFC North champions.

We seemed to play better, handle the ball well, and capitalize on third downs, in my opinion. Jones told the media on Sunday, “You have to play a smart, clean game when you play a talented squad.

Now, New York is concentrating on a crucial Divisional Round clash the next week. For the third time this year, they traveled to face their ferocious adversaries, the Philadelphia Eagles.
