In Week 11, Zach Wilson put forth another lackluster performance for the New York Jets, adding to his young quarterback’s disappointing season. Wilson’s situation has gotten so terrible that he now appears to be at risk of losing his position as New York’s starting quarterback.
In Week 11’s 10-3 loss to the New England Patriots, Wilson only completed nine passes. In what can only be characterized as a collectively awful performance, New York punted the ball ten times. Wilson unfortunately seems to be receiving the short end of the stick after that flop, and it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t entirely deserve it.
Robert Saleh, the head coach of the Jets, has currently intimated that Zach Wilson might be benched for their Week 12 matchup with the Chicago Bears. Regarding the starting quarterback position, Saleh stated that they are currently “keeping everything on the table.” Wilson isn’t going to be in the starting lineup anymore, but the Jets playmaker did state that he plans to watch the tapes before making a final decision.

It’s important to remember that the Jets earlier this month elevated Mike White to the position of QB2. Despite the fact that Flacco started the Jets’ first three games of the season, he took the place of Flacco as Wilson’s primary backup. In the near future, White appears to be in line to start for New York as they try to maintain their playoff chances.
