In Southern California, not far from the Tahquitz Peak Fire Lookout, rock climber Gavin Escobar tragically fell to his death. The death of a longtime teammate has hit the Dallas Cowboys hard.
Two climbers were hurt on Wednesday at Tahquitz Rock in Idyllwild, according to authorities. Witnesses say they arrived at the site and noticed that both victims were already dead. Death causes of 33-year-old hiker Chelsea Walsh and one of the trekkers, Gavin Escobar, were not immediately disclosed. The authorities claimed to be investigating everything.
Gavin Escobar was a standout player for San Diego State from 2010 to 2013, and the Cowboys drafted him in the NFL Draft. During his final four years with the Cowboys, Gavin Escobar scored eight touchdowns.

Gavin Escobar played with the Chiefs, the Browns, the Ravens, and the Dolphins before completing his career in the Alliance of American Football in 2019. Following Gavin Escobar’s death, messages of sympathy for the athlete flooded social media.
