Aiden Hutchinson

Aiden Hutchinson, a rookie defensive lineman for the Lions, had a phenomenal debut last night, setting the tone for a great season of Hard Knocks. The tradition of rookies performing songs at training camp has been a mainstay of Hard Knocks since the show’s inception, but the Michigan star raised the bar with his powerful performance of “Billie Jean,” a hit from Michael Jackson’s Thriller album from the 1980s.

Because most people, including Hutchinson’s teammates, aren’t familiar with many of the verses in “Billie Jean,” it took around 40 seconds for the performance to build up, despite the fact that Hutchinson came to play singing the song with enthusiasm from the very beginning. But when the chorus started, the place went crazy.

Take caution in all you do, I was constantly warned. Likewise, you shouldn’t go around tearing the hearts out of little girls. Also, she constantly warned me to be selective in who I let into my heart. Also, watch your actions closely because lies have a way of eventually being verifiable.

After Hutchinson started singing “People always told me,” his colleagues joined in since that’s the part everyone loves to sing along with. Then, after the warning, “Don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts,” they moved in for the kill with a hearty “hee hee.”

The room descended into complete chaos from that point on. Hutchinson shook it up with some dance steps, and his teammates couldn’t help but get in on the action.

Just look at the guy in the second row, left, if you believe I’m exaggerating. He was so pumped that he tore his shirt off. The guy in the second row, left, will convince you that I’m not exaggerating. He was so pumped that he tore his shirt off.

A Black Friday NFL game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime beginning in 2023, per John Ourand of Sports Business Journal. There has been no announcement regarding a start time for the game.

I’ll still claim victory, even though it won’t be a London match at 9:30 a.m. Third, I know we’re all glued to our phones, but rookie Pirates catcher Rodolfo Castro went a bit too far with his last night.

Fantastic broadcaster Keith Hernandez covers the Mets games. He proved that once again the night before when he went off on a rant about how he doesn’t want to call any more Yankees games against the Phillies because they play such poor baseball.

Suddenly, Edwin Daz, the closer for the Mets, has a challenger for the title of best relief pitcher introduction in baseball. When Orioles closer Félix Bautista approaches the mound, he blows Omar’s whistle from The Wire.

Sports Illustrated Media Podcast is celebrating its 400th episode this week

I sit down with my regular guest, Sal Licata of New York’s WFAN radio and SNY TV, to reflect on my tenure as host of the SI Media Podcast after Richard Deitsch’s departure and the show’s development since I took over for him. I express gratitude to a number of individuals, including listeners, who have contributed to the success of the podcast. And I caught up on the latest Apple reviews posted on SI Media Podcast.

Rolling Stone’s head TV critic Alan Sepinwall is interviewed on this episode of the SI Media Podcast. Sepinwall recommends The Bear, The Rehearsal, and Succession, among other works, as must-sees this summer. Sepinwall also reflects on Tony Sirico and his time spent on set with the Sopranos, specifically on the character of Paulie Walnuts.
