He is getting a medical with a deal in the region of £20 million negotiated, according to reports. Richarlison’s £60m departure to Tottenham has prompted Toffees manager Frank Lampard to improve his attacking options.
Ruben Vinagre has also joined Everton on a season-long loan from Sporting Lisbon. Sporting signed the 23-year-old left defender from Wolves in June after he spent last season on loan with them.
To join a team like Everton is a dream come true for Vinagre, he remarked. “Signing with the club was an easy decision for me because of the possibility to work with such talented athletes under Frank Lampard’s guidance.
“Legendary football manager, right? For me, the chance to work with and learn from someone like Ashley Cole, one of the game’s top left back, is a huge one since everyone knows him.”

While Wolves sporting director Kevin Thelwell originally brought Vinagre to England in 2017 when he was sporting director at the Toffees, Vinagre will be reunited with Thelwell.
According to Vinagre, “Kevin was crucial because he knows me well from our time working together at Wolves.” “Everton has a rich history, and he highlighted to me how important it is to have the right traits to succeed at a large club like this one.
Burnley defender James Tarkowski joined Everton on a free transfer, while the Toffees have also been linked with a move for Clarets striker Max Cornet.
Burnley’s winger made his debut in 2017 and went on to make 147 appearances, the last of which was on the final day of the 2021-22 season when the Clarets were relegated.
A third summer acquisition is expected to be Dwight McNeil and the second new arrival after Frank Lampard’s cry for help following Everton’s disappointing tour of the United States.
Ruben Vinagre’s loan deal at Everton was finalized and Burnley winger Dwight McNeil is now close to signing for the Toffees. The ECHO has learned that a contract to bring McNeil to Goodison Park is currently in the final stages of negotiation.
McNeil was called up to the England U20s for the first time in March 2019 ahead of Euro Elite League games against Poland and Portugal in March 2019. Against Poland, the United Kingdom lost 3-1 at St.
George’s Park is McNeil’s first start in the team’s history. The Toulon Tournament in May of 2019 saw him join the U20 squad, and on June 11th, he scored his first international goal in a 4–0 win over Guatemala.
For the first time, McNeil was called up to the England U21 squad on 30 August 2019. On October 11th, 2019, he earned his U21 debut in a 2–2 tie with Slovenia in Maribor.
