Chet Holmgren

Fans in the NBA immediately voted for Chet Holmgren to go into the Hall of Fame after he had a strong debut in the Summer League. There is no doubt in their minds that he is a failure.

Tuesday night, after shattering Summer League records for three-pointers and blocks, the No. 2 selection struggled against Memphis Grizzlies big man Kenny Lofton Jr.

A report in the Philadelphia Inquirer says that Holmgren is out of Thursday’s game against the 76ers because of an injury.

There’s no reason to play the 20-year-old for three nights in a row in games that don’t have any significance to their careers. Frank Isola, an NBA analyst, noted that Holmgren had already received “his first career load management” from the league.

After an amazing Summer League debut, NBA fans immediately designated a seat in the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame for Chet Holmgren.

The time has come for them to write him off as a squander of time and resources. After breaking Summer League records for blocks and three-pointers on Tuesday night, the No. 2 selection had a difficult time dealing with Kenny Lofton Jr. the next day.

Per the Philadelphia Inquirer, Holmgren will miss Thursday’s game against the 76ers because of an undisclosed issue with his knee.

Three nights in a row playing the 20-year-old in games that don’t count is unnecessary. Isola noted that Holmgren has already received “his first career load management” as a result of this.

People all over said that Paul Reed was a real threat, including Holmgren. On Tuesday, the 76ers forward scored 20 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, and made four steals in the Summer League.

Although Holmgren has already shown plenty of promise in Las Vegas, the night is his to enjoy. He’ll be off tonight.
