Benzema Injury

Karim Mostafa Benzema, a native of France, was born on December 19, 1987, and he now plays as a striker for La Liga club Real Madrid and the France national team. Benzema is one of the best attackers of his time, and he is a creative, prolific forward recognized for his playmaking and finishing. He is Real Madrid’s all-time number two assist man and second-highest goal scorer.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti stated after Tuesday’s 3-0 Champions League win over Celtic that Karim Benzema’s injury “doesn’t appear serious.” Benzema was taken off with an injury in the first half.

There had been half an hour played when Benzema limped out at Celtic Park with right knee pain. He was replaced by Eden Hazard, who would go on to score a goal and provide an assist.

“No need for alarm here, it seems. Examinations will be postponed till tomorrow, “When asked about Benzema’s injury at his postgame press conference, Ancelotti answered the following: The initial assessment does not appear to be life-threatening, but further testing will be required on Monday.

According to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who spoke to Movistar, “[Benzema] felt something in his knee.” “It remains to be seen, but I certainly pray it isn’t critical. If that’s the case, there are other participants who can step in.”

In the 56th minute of the group F opening, Vinicius Junior scored the first goal, which was followed by goals from Luka Modric (whom Hazard assisted on) and Hazard himself (which he scored off Dani Carvajal’s cutback).

Madrid did not make any moves to acquire a center forward during the summer transfer window. After three injury-plagued years at the Bernabeu, coach Carlo Ancelotti put his faith in Eden Hazard to perform in a false nine role and let backup forward Luka Jovic leave for free to join Fiorentina.

According to Ancelotti’s comments on Tuesday, “I thought this was a game for Eden.” “If he were to dig a little deeper into his position, we might be able to… He contributed to our second goal and was in the box for our third; he was clinical. That was a terrific game for him.”

Having a positive mental state is crucial for [Hazard], according to Courtois. “A fantastic player, Eden… As soon as he caught up to the pace of the game, he became invaluable to us.”

Hazard’s quality has “never been a question,” as Toni Kroos, a midfielder, put it. “It’s because of his physical state and the damage he’s sustained. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that today’s performance is an indication of things to come.”

After beating Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup and winning four straight LaLiga games, Madrid defeated Celtic on the road on Tuesday to extend their unbeaten start to the season to six games.

They play Mallorca in the LaLiga on Sunday, then host RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday, and then play Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby on September 18.
