Chucky Lozano

Serie A club Napoli and the Mexican national team are the clubs where Hirving Rodrigo Lozano Bahena (born 30 July 1995) now plays as a winger for both.

Chucky” Lozano began his career with Pachuca, where he won the 2016 Clausura and the 2016–17 CONCACAF Champions League, playing in 152 games and netting 44 goals for the side. He joined PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2017 and had an immediate impact, helping the team win the Eredivisie and finish as the league’s leading scorer in his first year. Lozano became the most expensive Mexican player in history when he signed with Napoli for an estimated €42 million ($48 million).

Lozano played in the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and the 2016 Summer Olympics while playing for a variety of different youth teams. Since his debut in February 2016, he has represented the country at the Copa América Centenario, the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mexican forward Hirving Lozano is reportedly considering a move away from Napoli and to the Premier League.

After Mexico’s Loss to Jamaica, Martino Reportedly Discussed Resigning from The National Team?

His former agent Mino Raiola, and Hirving Lozano’s former manager Jorge Mendes, would be responsible for Chicky’s activities in regard to the transfer window after Raiola’s sudden death.

Footballers such as Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo have lauded Jorge Mendes as one of the best representatives of the sport. As a result, Hirving Lozano might follow in the footsteps of Manchester United’s Portuguese forward.

Which Teams Are Vying for Hirving Lozano’s Signature?

Teams like Liverpool and Valencia have expressed an interest in signing the player, but nothing has been agreed upon.

To be safe, Lozano was included in the CONCACAF Gold Cup provisional roster by Miguel Herrera, but he wasn’t selected to play in the tournament. His first senior national team call-up came under Juan Carlos Osorio in February of that year. On February 10th, Lozano made his international debut as a starter in the friendly against Senegal, assisting fellow Pachuca teammate

Rodolfo Pizarro in the second goal as Mexico triumphed 2–0. Lozano scored his first international goal in the 39th minute of Mexico’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying third-round match against Canada, which Mexico won 3–0. Mexican soccer’s Centenario Cup roster named him to its 23-man roster.  At the end of the competition, he was eliminated in the quarterfinals despite playing in all of the games.

This summer, Mexico’s 23-man national team will go to Russia to compete in FIFA’s Confederations Cup. Santi Cazorla’s side won their last group encounter 2–1 against hosts Igor Akinfeev thanks to a Lozano goal after following down a long clearing from Héctor Herrera and beating goalie Igor Akinfeev in the box.

However, Lozano was left out of Miguel Herrera’s final lineup for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the event that another player was injured. Coach Juan Carlos Osorio initially called up Lozano to the senior national squad in February of that year.

Mexico defeated Senegal 2–0 in a friendly on February 10th, with Lozano assisting Pachuca teammate Rodolfo Pizarro on the second goal. Mexico defeated Canada 3–0 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying third-round encounter the following month when Lozano netted his first international goal in the 39th minute of the match Mexican soccer’s Centenario Cup roster included him among its 23 players. As a result, he was knocked out of the tournament in the second round.

Lozano was chosen to be Mexico’s 23-man team for the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia on June 8, 2017.

In their last group stage match against the hosts, Lozano scored the second goal in a 2–1 triumph after pursuing a long clearance from Héctor Herrera and beating goalie Igor Akinfeev to the ball towards the edge of the box, allowing Lozano to nip in and head into the open net.
