Damian Lillard Contract

Six-time All-Star Damian Lillard has played his entire NBA career in Portland. A core issue that required surgery limited him to just 29 games last season. He told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen in an early Friday morning interview that the time off, albeit frustrating, will be beneficial to him in the long run.

While watching NBA Summer League games in Las Vegas, Lillard noted, “My body is stronger than it was before in certain areas.”

Along with the physical recuperation, Lillard, who will turn 32 on July 15th, said the mental break was beneficial as well.

He has a career scoring average of 24.6 points, is a six-time All-NBA selection, and was recently named one of the NBA’s top 75 players in honor of the league’s 75th anniversary.
