The first NFL owner to publicly criticize Daniel Snyder is Jim Irsay. During the NFL’s autumn owners’ meetings on Tuesday, the owner of the Indianapolis Colts made some shocking remarks. Irsay told a group of reporters that he thinks Snyder ought to lose his ownership of the Washington team.

I think there is justification for removing him as Redskins owner, Irsay stated. Irsay thinks Snyder’s dismissal is in the league’s best interests. He stated that they might have to try to vote Snyder out.

I think that’s the path we need to go. I think it’s in the National Football League’s best interests.

To compel a sale, 24 out of the 32 NFL owners would have to vote against Snyder. Although a vote has not been called, according to Irsay, the league would likely receive close to 24 votes.

The Washington owner is rumored to have dug up some dirt that he isn’t afraid to fling, which may complicate matters for any owners voting on Snyder. Irsay claims he has no fear of dirt.

Irsay probably isn’t worried because he already made himself look bad in front of the people. He was detained in 2014 on suspicion of OWI and drug possession. He also committed a shameful social media hack. Irsay was probably the best person to speak out against Snyder if anyone was going to.
