Daniel Cormier

Brock Lesnar and Daniel Cormier were supposed to battle in order for Cormier to defend his heavyweight title, however, the bout never took place. At UFC 226 in July 2018, Cormier defeated Stipe Miocic in the first round before ordering Lesnar to leave his ringside position and enter the octagon.

Quickly rising from his front-row seat, the former UFC heavyweight champion smiled as he approached DC before pushing him backward. This move encouraged spectators about a prospective matchup between the two that never transpired.

As a 10-time world champion and one of the biggest stars in the history of the organization, Lesnar decided to go back to the WWE. Before losing back-to-back fights to Miocic and giving up the sport to become a UFC commentator, Cormier defended his title against Derrick Lewis.

Cormier has been linked with a move to the WWE ever since he concluded his MMA career, and he will now make his debut at the promotion’s Extreme Rules event on Saturday night.

The 43-year-old will officiate a match between Seth Rollins and former UFC fighter Matt Riddle as a special guest referee, but many are already thinking that this might result in a tantalizing showdown with Brock Lesnar.

When questioned about perhaps competing against Lesnar in a wrestling battle, Cormier responded, “No, I’ve not heard anything like it.

The point is, when something like this occurs, people start to talk, which is actually quite beneficial for me. As a result, if you hear someone say, “Oh my goodness! I can still picture him and Brock in the octagon.

Although it seems to make a lot of sense, you probably already know that this does not guarantee that it will actually happen. There is therefore no talk of my competing against Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar famously transitioned from professional wrestling to the UFC and defeated the legendary Randy Couture in his fourth MMA match to claim the heavyweight championship.

Prior to failing to defeat Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem, the 45-year-old successfully defended his title against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin. Lesnar made his MMA comeback at UFC 200 in 2016 after a five-year absence, defeating Australian knockout artist Mark Hunt by decision.
