Harrison Bader Injury

In Major League Baseball, Harrison Joseph Bader plays centre field for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was born on June 3, 1994. (MLB). He was a Florida Gator’s baseball player while attending the University of Florida.

Starting pitcher Jack Flaherty and centre fielder Harrison Bader were each added to the 15-day and 10-day injured lists by the team on Monday, respectively.

Bader is on the IL with right foot plantar fasciitis, and Flaherty has a diagnosis of a right shoulder injury.

Due to discomfort in his right shoulder, Flaherty already missed the first two and a half months of the season. He just lasted two innings in his most recent start on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs.

St. Louis’ starting centre fielder for the 2019 season was Bader. He failed at the plate, though, and was ultimately switched to a bench role.

After hitting.195/.309/.648 over ninety games with six home runs and 19 RBIs, he was sent to Memphis on July 30. On August 20, St. Louis received a recall for him.

Bader beat the Milwaukee Brewers 9-4 in his first game back after being called up, hitting a triple, driving in two runs, and drawing three walks. With St. Louis, Bader played 128 games in the regular season of 2019 while batting.205/.314/.680 with 12 home runs, 39 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases. He was reactivated and put back in the starting lineup on July 1; that day, he hit the first grand slam of his career, aiding the Cardinals in a 9-3 victory over the Rockies at Coors Field.

On September 27, 2021, Bader won the National League Player of the Week award for the first time. His performance that week featured a batting average of 15 for 29, a slugging percentage of 1.000, three home runs in eight games, and enabling the Cardinals to win a club-record 17 straight games.

With 367 at-bats in 103 games and a slash line of.267/.324/.460, Bader concluded the 2021 season with 16 home runs, 50 RBIs, 21 doubles, and 9 stolen bases. He was one of five Cardinals to earn the Gold Glove Award in the centre field, which is an MLB record.
