Robbie Anderson, a wide receiver with the Carolina Panthers, was dismissed from Sunday’s contest with the Los Angeles Rams, but the decision to do so was not made by the officials.
Anderson had many angry discussions with Panthers staff members before being removed to the locker room by interim head coach Steve Wilks of the Panthers. When Anderson shoved wide receivers coach Joe Dailey in the face in the third quarter, things started to get hot. Despite being separated, the two kept yelling at one another.

During the fourth quarter, Anderson then seemed to chirp at Dailey once again. At that point, Wilks decided enough was enough and removed the 29-year-old from the contest.

The Panthers were reportedly looking to trade Anderson this week, but the events of Sunday will hurt his value. After that episode, it wouldn’t be surprising if Carolina fired Anderson.

Only 13 receptions for 206 yards and a touchdown had been made by Anderson heading into the contest on Sunday. He hasn’t appeared to be content with the circumstances in Carolina for a while.
