Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks have Luka Doncic as a perpetual gift. The Mavs defeated Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets 129-125 in overtime on Thursday night thanks to another outstanding performance from the Slovenian superstar.
According to Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News, Kidd stated after Luka Doncic nearly managed the Mavs’ 2-2 record by himself, “We are spoiled to have someone like him.”
Luka Doncic scored a game-high 41 points to complete the contest. With an offensive performance that included two 3-pointers, 14-for-28 field goal shooting, and 11 made of 13 attempts at the foul line, he came close to getting what he desired. Doncic not only scored and rebounded, but he also provided 14 assists. There are no other players on either team with more than five assists.
Actually, Luka Doncic stole the show. The Nets made several attempts to guard him, but they almost always resulted in one of the following outcomes: Doncic scoring on his own, finding a teammate for a basket, or going to the free-throw line. The Mavericks’ victory over Brooklyn was written all over by Doncic.

Despite playing a significant amount in the game, Luka Doncic only committed five turnovers in 41 minutes. But one of them resulted in a Kevin Durant slam, which forced overtime.
Before hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday to open a five-game homestand, Doncic and the Mavs will relax on Friday.
