Julianna Pena Injury

In the main event of UFC 277, Julianna Pena was forced to have surgery after suffering injuries in a five-round decision loss against Amanda Nunes. It wasn’t until the second half of the fight that Pea’s head was drenched in blood because of a series of elbows that created many cuts on her skull.

Because of the deep gash on her forehead, Pea was unable to attend the UFC 277 postfight news conference, and UFC President Dana White confirmed that she had been transferred to a Dallas hospital for treatment.

Julianna is missing a significant portion of her forehead, he explained. A plastic surgeon is on the way. “She’s going right now.”

Because of the injury Pea sustained and the outcome of the fight, White was hesitant to speculate on Pea’s next move. There have now been two encounters between the bantamweights that have ended in a draw.

The most important thing for White is to provide Pea enough time to recuperate.

White’s response was, “I don’t know. Take some time to recuperate. “It was a rough night for her. In the first two rounds, there were at least five or six knockdowns. She was distraught, and it was clear that she had been harmed.

It’s time for her to get some rest. Take a break, spend some time with her daughter, and we’ll pick up where we left off later.

Against Magomed Ankalaev, a former UFC light heavyweight title contender, Anthony Smith was able to escape significant harm by way of a second-round TKO.

Smith claims he injured his ankle with the final kick he launched at Ankalaev during the first round. Before he was taken out of the octagon, he claimed that his leg had been fractured because he was unable to walk on his own.

Smith was taken to the hospital for treatment, but White insisted that the light heavyweight did not have a fractured leg. As of yet, the full scope of any such health issues has not been divulged

After Smith’s injury, White responded, “No fracture,” in response.

Despite his best efforts, Smith was unable to secure a title chance with a victory in this match. As of this writing, it appears that he will need some time off to recuperate following Saturday’s defeat by Ankalaev.
