Marcus Rashford Transfer

Marcus Rashford MBE (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who represents Manchester United in the Premier League and the England national team.

Rashford has been a Manchester United player since he was seven years old, scoring two goals on his UEFA Europa League debut against Midtjylland in February 2016 and his Premier League debut three days later against Arsenal. He also scored on his EFL Cup and UEFA Champions League debuts, as well as his first Manchester derby. Rashford has FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield, and UEFA Europa League victories with United.

Rashford became the youngest English player to score in a senior international match when he made his England debut in May 2016. He was the tournament’s youngest player in the 2016 UEFA Euros, and he also played for England in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2020.

Marcus Rashford Transfer

According to rumors, Marcus Rashford has rejected the chance to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer, preferring to remain at Manchester United and compete for a starting spot. After undergoing shoulder surgery in the summer, Rashford struggled to recapture his best form last season.

During Ralf Rangnick’s interim managership, the 24-year-old only made 32 appearances for United in all competitions, scoring five goals. Moving forward, Rashford will need to impress new manager Erik ten Hag.

However, with United looking to pursue a flexible offensive option, Ten Hag could face additional challenges as part of his much-needed rebuild. Darwin Nunez has been linked with a move to Liverpool, who appear to be the frontrunners to sign him.

United has a one-year extension option on Rashford’s contract, which he has through the end of this season. Tottenham is reportedly interested in signing Rashford this summer, according to Caught Offside, but The Times claims Rashford is adamant about staying at United and becoming a vital player.

In other news, ESPN says that if United wants to sign Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona this summer, they’ll face stiff competition from PSG. De Jong is a clear target for United, with Barcelona rumored to be willing to transfer the 24-year-old to alleviate their financial woes.

De Jong is expected to fetch roughly £70 million, allowing Barcelona to pursue other transfer targets. If the 41-cap international joins United, he will be reunited with Ten Hag, his mentor and former Ajax boss.

Three years after his arrival at the Nou Camp from Ajax, PSG wants to enter the competition for De Jong.
